OneHealthSecure Online Course “Molecular tools for blood meal analyses in arthropod vectors”
The online course “Molecular tools for blood meal analyses in arthropod vectors” organized by the environmental expertise (EBD-CSIC) of the One Health Secure project. It will be held online during three days, from March 3rd to 5th 2026 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm (CET).
The webinar is addressed to experts from the entomological, environmental, and animal virology sectors including researchers, graduate students, and other professionals working in vector biology and animal health. The invitation can be forwarded to any person in your country who is involved in research and decisions related to vector borne pathogens ecology and management.
The objective of this online course is to present the molecular tools available for blood meal analysis in arthropod vectors, a key approach for the surveillance of pathogens with major impact on human and animal health.
Experts will share their knowledge on:
- molecular tools available for blood meal identification;
- advantages, limitations, and technical challenges of these methods,
- sequence analyses and data interpretation.
