What is OneHealthSecure project?
The OneHealthSecure project aims to support the 23 beneficiary countries in the Mediterranean region to adapt to climate change by tackling vector-borne diseases using a One Health approach. To achieve this, the project will capitalize on the unique One Health network established during the former MediLabSecure project by addressing remaining gaps in viral vector-borne diseases prevention and preparedness. By using vector-borne diseases as a model, in the long term, the project aims to promote the recognition of One Health concept and the implementation of One Health practices in beneficiary countries.
One Health Network
The geographic continuum between countries around the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Sahel regions entails common climatic and epidemiological characteristics and shared public health concerns, pushing towards a common regional dynamic in combating health threats.
